i had a dream last night about my big sis, cheryl. she had a new dance move that she was showing a few of us family members, so i thought i would share it, and see if anyone has: A. actually seen this move being performed before, B. is interested in adding it to your dance routine.
it consisted of cheryl standing in a position with her legs a little farther that shoulder length apart. she was squatting down slightly. then, taking her arms at stomach/hip level making a large "o" shape with them as if it was a part of the YMCA song, she began to "mix the batter". this looks like it sounds...rotating this "o" around and around like if she was rubbing her tummy.
in the mean time she was also swaying back and forth, slightly scooping her hips down near the middle of the sway as she moved from the left to right. her hair draped down over her shoulders, frazzled, but her face was cocked looking straight forward. she had the most magnificent smile on her face and a glow in her eyes--absolute delight.
world, meet "dancer's delight".

Wow. I sure would love to see you reinact this lovely move. If my skills were anything like the 1986 cheerleading video, I'm sure you were in for a real treat. I'm glad you enjoyed the dancers delight...I'm embarrased just IMAGINING what I must have looked like 'mixing the batter' and scooping away. It sounds like I was atleast happy doing it :)

Can't decide which is better--Dancer's delight or writers delight. John, your style of writing is poetic in its own creative way. I have always love seeing and hearing you write. Mom
