I am voting YES on Proposition 8. I am voting yes on Prop. 8 because I believe that marriage is ordained of God; that it is a sacred union that is important and essential for human progression. Marriage is an institution consecrated for a man and a woman and I am obligated to protect it's status.
I am not voting yes on Prop. 8 because I dislike or am prejudiced to gay people. I am not voting yes on Prop. 8 because I want to be unfair. In fact, this proposition does not eliminate any civil rights extended to gay couples. A law has already been passed to ensure that gay couples are not denied any legal rights or privileges extended to heterosexual couples.
I am voting yes on Proposition 8 because I am affirming marriage and I see this as a moral issue that should not be dictated by the government. I am voting yes on Prop. 8 because I want to stand up for what I know to be right and good and true in a society of please-ourselves relativism. I am not politically correct. I do not want to be.
I am voting YES on Prop. 8.

I agree whole heartedly with your post. It is difficult to stand up for what you believe in when eveyone else thinks you are intolerant and naive (which is how i feel all the time, even with good friends and members of the church). thank you for voicing your opinion!
I again am so proud of your stand and pray that your efforts will bring about a yes on 8. Also, thought the video clip was excellent.
