Long time no blog

Since our last entry we Papworths have enjoyed Thanksgiving and my birthday. I love this time of year; Nora's birthday kicks off the festivities and they just keep coming until John's day-of-birth celebration (January 11th, F.Y.I.).

My birthday was lovely. The best and most wonderful b-day present came a week early with Nora starting to sleep through the night. And yes, we can all shout a collective "HALLELUJAH" for this. Did you know that sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture? No, really, it is--and I can vouch for its effectiveness. After nearly 14 months and every possible sleep method attempted, I am getting a full night's sleep. Hallelujah! .... But back to my birthday: it was relaxing, indulgent, and filled with good food (what more could a girl want?).

Thanksgiving was full of thankfulness. And, sorry, we have no pictures to share because one of  our cameras is broken and the other one needs to have it's battery recharged. (Someone left the camera on.... Wait, wait, I have a good excuse! This was before I was getting any sleep; I can not be held accountable for any of my actions over the past year).

Now Christmas is in full force around here. We made gingerbread houses tonight... pictures to come later (when that battery is finally recharged). Until then....

that is so exciting that you are finally getting some sleep! I don't think I would be able to handle it. I'm a mess if I don't get 8 hours every night.
