The first gift of Christmas came the 24th when we heard the news that we have a new niece: Hazel Jane Mackin. Welcome, Hazel! And sorry about the Christmas Eve birthday, that's not the best timing. Ah well, what are ya gonna do?
This year, we took part in all of the usual traditions: fancy Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas jammies, cookies and milk for Santa. Having a two-year-old made everything magic. Although, I think that all the presents were a blur to Nora. She could have stopped after her stocking and be just fine.
Man oh man, I can't wait until next year.
Also, one of my favorite Christmas songs this year was the one below. The lovely thing about is that it doesn't have to stay within the realm of Christmas-time and I can listen to it all year long. The lyrics get me every time.
