Trois

Yesterday was Nora's third birthday. We had a super fun day celebrating. . .
First, there was an explosion of balloons in her room when she woke up.

Then, I told Nora she could do whatever she wanted that day because it was her birthday. I kept suggesting fun activities---like going to the park---but all she wanted to do was stay at home and play.
So, that's what we did.

After daddy came home from work, we had a PAAAARTY. Both grandmas, Grandpa, Anna, Hudd and Lee were there and we all built our own personal-sized pizzas. We ate, then had cake and ice cream (bien sur) for dessert.
Last, we had set up a treasure hunt (complete with map!) for Nora. The end of the hunt led her to the presents.
Here she is with some of her loot. She's playing with her new drum set. Ah, all of John's dreams are now coming true. Family band, here we come.

Everything is super cute! Sibi just told me she wants everything EXACTLY the same as Nora for her 6th birthday (hat, same colored balloons, gum ball cake, etc). So, I'm glad you have fabulous taste! it all looks like it came out of a magazine, but I would expect no less. we are slightly more scroungy around our place.

Happy bday!! I'm glad you had such a special day. It's crazy that she's now old enough to understand how special bdays are now.

The cuteness/beautifulness (is that a word) of Nora is overwhelming. I want her to be a baby gap model. Is that too much to ask?
